Description

The bridge of the sleipnir resembles that of a “Great War” era battleship. It protrudes around fifty meters over the main deck of the sleipnir and consists of a wide observation cabin atop a tall steel pylon. The bridge itself is large enough to host a variety of smaller buildings within it, namely the captains quarters, the quartermaster’s office and the communications room and most importantly the helm.

On an average day, the bridge is a buzz of activity; skyborn going to and fro carrying messages between the various seats of power. The captain helming the ship must maintain concentration and keep the ship steady at all times and is only occasionally interrupted by communiques from other ships detailing information gathered about windspeed, air temperature and humidity as well as the idle chatter between captains.

The bridge acts as the central nervous system and brain of the sleipnir, but unlike the human brain it is far from vulnerable; as the sleipnir is armored at its strongest along the center of the ship and the bridge is no exception.
